With over 20,000 associates spanning bakeries, sales centers, offices, and sales routes nationwide, the company is dedicated to providing consumers with fresh, quality bakery products at every meal. Founded on a heritage of baking excellence and innovation, Bimbo Bakeries USA is committed not only to great products but also to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes development. The company embraces an authentic work culture where employees are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work and grow both personally and professionally.
The Route Sales Professional Express position offers a unique opportunity to join this leading company and contribute directly to its growth and success. The role is structured for those who thrive on building strong relationships, ensuring product quality, and driving sales in various retail settings. With a focus on direct customer interaction and on-the-ground sales execution, this position is perfect for candidates with a passion for customer service and a knack for logistical coordination. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 am to 12:00 pm, providing consistency and predictability. Compensation includes a base weekly pay of $240 plus commission, with the potential to earn an annual average salary ranging from $53,000 to $60,000, reflecting the hybrid nature of sales and route management responsibilities.
As a Route Sales Professional Express, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, and ensuring proper product rotation to maintain freshness and quality. Your role will involve actively driving sales growth by securing new display space and setting up incremental displays, leveraging sales data to tailor strategies at the store level. This position requires follow-up on new account opportunities and building robust customer relationships to support the execution of promotions and expand product presence. Introducing new products and services to existing and potential clients is a key aspect, fostering increased sales and shelf space.
You will conduct daily route settlements, accounting for all products, invoices, cash, and maintaining accurate inventory counts. Operating the company route truck safely and completing the required Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs are essential components. Timely submission of documentation, paperwork, and deposits is vital to ensure smooth business operations. This role requires physical stamina due to tasks such as climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and frequent reaching.
Bimbo Bakeries USA is diligent in providing a work environment that prioritizes safety and complies with DOT regulations. The company supports its workforce through comprehensive benefits aligned with collective bargaining agreements, including medical, dental, pension plans, paid holidays, and paid time off. Bimbo Bakeries USA is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring all associates are treated with respect and provided with growth opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification. The company is also sensitive to labor laws such as those in Massachusetts regarding lie detector tests.
Joining Bimbo Bakeries USA as a Route Sales Professional Express means becoming part of a family that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and dedicated service to customers and communities across the nation. This role blends the dynamic challenges of sales with the rewards of on-the-ground operational work, making it an ideal career path for motivated individuals seeking both stability and growth.
