The role of Route Sales Professional within Bimbo Bakeries USA is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about sales, customer service, and logistics. This full-time position features a 5:00 am start time from Monday to Friday, with a weekly base pay plus commission, ensuring a guaranteed income of $1,000 weekly with an average annual earning ranging between $52,000 to $57,200. In this role, associates are responsible for merchandising, stocking, and ensuring the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the freshest quality. The Route Sales Professional plays a vital role in driving sales by securing new display spaces, setting up promotional displays, and applying sales data to develop store-level strategies. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships are essential components of the position, including following up on new account opportunities and ensuring the successful execution of promotional campaigns. The role also requires introducing new products and services to maximize sales and optimize shelf space within existing and new accounts. Route Sales Professionals conduct daily route settlements, manage invoices and cash, maintain inventory accuracy, and safely operate company route trucks while completing Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs. Timeliness in submitting required documentation and paperwork is also crucial, reflecting the company’s commitment to efficiency and regulatory compliance. Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
- Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- Ability to obtain chauffer license if job location is in IN MI TN
- Ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods and perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- Consistent with Department of Transportation regulations ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public understand highway signs respond to inquiries and complete reports and records
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct store delivery preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Job Duties
- Merchandise stock and ensure proper product rotation on store shelves and displays to guarantee freshness
- Drive sales by securing new display space setting up incremental displays and using sales data to inform store strategies
- Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring promotion execution
- Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing and new accounts
- Conduct daily route settlements to account for products invoices and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
- Safely drive the company route truck completing DOT daily logs
- Submit required documentation paperwork and deposits on time
