The Route Sales Professional role at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a critical position responsible for driving sales and ensuring excellent customer relationships in the field. This full-time role comes with a highly competitive base pay averaging $55,000 to $85,000 annually, corresponding to a weekly base pay of $1,100. Early morning start times between 2am and 4am from Wednesday to Sunday align with customer needs and delivery schedules. As a Route Sales Professional, you will actively merchandise, stock, and rotate products on store shelves and displays to maintain freshness and product quality. Your role will involve not just replenishing inventory but also marketing and sales activities like securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, implementing sales strategies informed by data, and introducing new products to boost sales. You will be tasked with building and maintaining strong customer relationships, executing promotional activities, and identifying new account opportunities. Logistical duties include conducting daily route settlements, tracking products, handling invoicing and cash management, maintaining inventory records, and complying with Department of Transportation regulations by completing daily logs and safely operating the company route truck.
This position demands a strong customer service mindset combined with physical stamina needed to climb, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform frequent reaching tasks. The ability to read, speak, and comprehend English sufficiently to interact with the public and comply with regulatory reporting requirements is essential. Experience with Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) is preferred to hit the ground running. All associates must meet regulatory and licensing requirements to ensure safe and lawful operation along delivery routes. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- successfully able to obtain chauffeur license if job location is in Indiana Michigan or Tennessee
- ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- one to three years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public understand highway traffic signs and signals and respond to official inquiries

Job Duties
- Merchandise stock and ensure proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
- drive sales by securing new display space setting up incremental displays and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
- follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
- introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
- conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products invoices and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
- safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
- submit required documentation paperwork and deposits on time
