The Route Sales Professional position at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers a unique opportunity to join the largest baking company in the world and become part of an extensive family of 20,000 associates. This role is full-time and includes a competitive weekly base pay starting at $1,100, with an average annual income between $55,000 and $85,000. Work hours start early, typically between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., with weekdays Wednesday through Sunday and weekends off, providing a balanced work-life schedule.
As a Route Sales Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Bimbo Bakeries USA continues to lead in product availability, quality, and freshness. The role encompasses merchandising, stocking, and overseeing the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays. You will drive sales by securing new display areas, setting up incremental product displays, and using sales data to strategize at the store level. Additionally, the position involves maintaining strong customer relationships, executing promotions effectively, introducing new products and services, and managing key administrative duties such as daily route settlements and documentation.
This position requires a motivated individual with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. You will also be responsible for the safe operation of the company route truck, adhering to U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, including maintaining daily DOT logs. The role demands physical activity such as climbing, pushing/pulling, bending, and kneeling, emphasizing the dynamic nature of the job. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- Successfully able to obtain chauffeur license if job location is in IN, MI, TN
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
- Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
- Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
- Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
- Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
- Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
- Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
- Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
