This company has a rich legacy of baking excellence and is committed to providing consumers with fresh, high-quality products at every meal. With over 20,000 associates working in bakeries, sales centers, offices, and sales routes nationwide, Bimbo Bakeries USA has established itself as a powerhouse in the baking industry. The company is dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and diverse workplace where all associates can thrive and bring their authentic selves to work.
The position of Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers a remarkable opportunity to join a large and dynamic team with a passion for quality and customer satisfaction. This role plays a crucial part in the company’s direct sales distribution (DSD) network, ensuring that customers receive fresh bakery products daily. The Route Sales Professional is responsible for merchandising, stocking, and maintaining the freshness and quality of products on store shelves and displays. By driving sales, securing new display spaces, setting up incremental displays, and leveraging sales data, this role helps maximize product visibility and store-level sales success.
This full-time position offers a competitive weekly base pay of $1125, which translates to an annual average income between $58,500 and $85,000. The shift schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, starting early at 3:00 AM to guarantee fresh deliveries before stores open. Employees benefit from a comprehensive package including medical, dental, vision coverage, and a retirement plan, supporting their health and financial wellbeing.
In addition to sales and merchandising, the Route Sales Professional is responsible for building strong customer relationships through follow-up on new account opportunities and ensuring the effective execution of promotional campaigns. The role also involves introducing new products and services to current and prospective clients, helping to expand market share and increase shelf space.
The job requires daily route settlement procedures, including accounting for all products, invoices, and cash receipts, while maintaining accurate inventory counts. Safe operation of the company’s delivery truck is essential, as is compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, including the completion of daily logs. Attention to detail in submitting all required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time is vital to maintaining operational efficiency.
Candidates must possess certain physical capabilities, such as the ability to climb, bend, kneel, and perform reaching motions frequently throughout the workday. The ideal candidate will also have 1-3 years of relevant experience with direct sales distribution, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card and, where applicable, a chauffeur’s license.
Overall, the Route Sales Professional role at Bimbo Bakeries USA promises a fulfilling career path within a company that values its employees and offers opportunities for development in a supportive environment. The company’s commitment to equal opportunity employment ensures that every associate has a fair chance to contribute and grow, no matter their background.
