The role of Route Sales Professional is a pivotal position within Bimbo Bakeries USA, centered around building and maintaining strong customer relationships while driving sales growth and ensuring optimal product placement and freshness. This full-time role offers a competitive package including a weekly base pay of $300 plus commission, with an annual average earning potential between $55,000 and $65,000. Working hours typically start early in the morning between 3 am to 4 am, with guaranteed days off on Wednesday and Sunday. Additionally, employees in this role have access to full benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, and a retirement plan. A $500 sign-on bonus is available to support new business responsibilities related to Hy-Vee accounts.
As a Route Sales Professional, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, and ensuring proper rotation of products on store shelves to maintain quality and freshness. You will actively drive sales by securing new display space and leveraging sales data to shape strategies at the store level. Building customer relationships and executing promotional activities are key aspects of this role. Furthermore, you will introduce new products and services to maximize sales within current accounts and when acquiring new business. The role requires precise conduct of daily route settlement procedures, including the handling of product invoices, cash, and inventory management. Safe operation of the company route truck and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including maintaining daily logs, is mandatory. Timely submission of documentation, paperwork, and deposits is a crucial aspect of the job. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- Successfully able to obtain chauffeur license if job location is in IN, MI, TN
- Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred
- Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records

Job Duties
- Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
- Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
- Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
- Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
- Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
- Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
- Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
