The available role is for a Route Sales Professional, an essential position within Bimbo Bakeries USA’s sales distribution network. This full-time position involves managing direct store delivery (DSD) routes to ensure that retail customers are stocked with the freshest bakery products. The role offers a competitive compensation package, with an average annual pay ranging from $65,000 to $70,000, which includes a base salary plus commissions. The shift begins early at 4:00 AM, with valuable time off provided on Wednesdays and Sundays. Benefits are subject to collective bargaining agreement terms and include pension plans, medical and dental coverage, holiday pay, and paid time off.

In this on-the-move role, Route Sales Professionals are responsible for merchandising, stocking, and product rotation to maintain the highest quality and freshness on store shelves. They utilize sales data to identify opportunities for increasing sales through securing new display spaces and incremental displays. Building strong customer relationships and following up on new account opportunities are critical to the role, as is the introduction of new products and services to maximize shelf space and sales. Route professionals are challenged to ensure all administrative aspects such as route settlements, inventory management, and documentation are completed accurately and timely. Driving the company’s delivery truck safely while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and completing daily logs is a vital component of the job.
