The Route Sales Professional role at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers an exciting opportunity to join the largest baking company in the world and become part of a nationwide family of over 20,000 associates. This position features a competitive weekly base pay plus commission, averaging between $50,000 and $60,000 annually. The role offers a stable schedule with a 5:00 am start time and two days off each week (Wednesday and Sunday), along with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan.

As a Route Sales Professional, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, and ensuring the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the freshest quality for customers. You will be driving sales growth by securing additional display space, setting up incremental displays, and leveraging sales data to inform effective store-level strategies. Building strong relationships with customers is key, as you will follow up on new account opportunities and ensure the execution of promotional activities. Introducing new products and services will be part of your daily tasks to maximize sales within existing accounts and open doors to new customers. Additionally, you will conduct daily route settlement procedures, maintaining accurate inventory counts, processing invoices, cash, and completing all necessary documentation on time.

The role requires safely driving the company route truck while maintaining Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs. An essential aspect of the Route Sales Professional position involves physical activities such as climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and frequent reaching, as required to perform the duties effectively. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • able to obtain chauffeur license if required by job location (IN MI TN)
  • ability to climb push pull bend stoop kneel and perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • consistent with DOT regulations able to read and speak English to converse with public understand traffic signs respond to inquiries and make entries on reports and records

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • strong customer service and sales skills
  • ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

Job Duties
