The role of a Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a vital part of the business operation. Positioned within the sales and distribution team, this full-time position offers a schedule beginning at 3:00 am with Wednesdays and Sundays off. The average annual salary ranges from $52,000 to $63,000 plus commission, reflecting the importance of performance in sales success. As a Route Sales Professional, you will drive a company route truck safely to serve existing accounts and develop new business opportunities. The role centers around merchandising and stocking products, ensuring the proper rotation of items to maintain freshness and quality, and securing new display space in stores to increase product visibility and sales volumes. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting route settlements, managing inventory counts, and submitting all necessary documentation and deposits on time. This position requires meeting physical demands such as climbing, bending, and kneeling, as well as possessing excellent communication skills sufficient to interact with customers effectively and complete required reports. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain chauffeur license if job location is in IN MI TN
  • Ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public understand highway signs respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public understand traffic signs respond to inquiries and document reports
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical card
  • Ability to obtain chauffeur license if applicable in certain states
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

Job Duties

  • Merchandise stock and ensure proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee freshness
  • Drive sales by securing new display space setting up incremental displays using sales data to inform store-level strategies
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring execution of promotions
  • Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and new customers
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products invoices and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
  • Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
  • Submit required documentation paperwork and deposits on time
