Bimbo Bakeries USA is currently seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join their team as Route Sales Professionals. As a Route Sales Professional, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring product availability and freshness by merchandising, stocking, and rotating products on store shelves and displays. Driving sales is a key aspect of this position, requiring an individual to secure new display spaces, set up incremental displays, and use sales data strategically to boost store-level sales.
This full-time position offers competitive pay with a weekly base pay of $278 plus commission, equating to an annual average salary ranging between $55,000 and $75,000. Shifts begin early in the morning at 3:00 am, and employees enjoy Sundays and Wednesdays off. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- must be able to acquire and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card
- successfully able to obtain Chauffeur License if job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee
- ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution (DSD) preferred
- consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution (DSD) preferred
- valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the general public and understand traffic signs and signals
- ability to safely operate company vehicles and complete required logs
- willingness to obtain a DOT medical card and Chauffeur License if required by state regulations
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to manage time and tasks effectively
- physically capable of performing duties involving climbing, pushing/pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and frequent reaching
Job Duties
- Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
- drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
- follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
- introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
- conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
- safely drive the company route truck and complete Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs
- submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
