The role of Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about sales, customer service, and product merchandising. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the freshest bakery products reach retail store shelves and display spaces, driving product sales and maintaining excellent relationships with customers. The Route Sales Professional is tasked with managing their sales route, stocking and merchandising products according to company guidelines, and using sales data to optimize product placement and availability. Operating a company route truck safely, conducting daily route settlement procedures, and completing all required paperwork and reporting are essential responsibilities. Moreover, this role offers a competitive weekly base pay that averages between $57,000 and $75,000 annually, with a shift start time of 3:00 AM and days off on Wednesday and Sunday. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain Chauffeur License if job location is in IN MI TN
  • Ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution is preferred
  • Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public to understand highway traffic signs and signals in English to respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Capability to perform physical activities such as climbing pushing pulling bending stooping and kneeling
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and ability to obtain a DOT medical card
  • Ability to obtain Chauffeur License if applicable based on job location

Job Duties

  • Merchandise stock and ensure proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee best quality and freshness
  • Drive sales by securing new display space setting up incremental displays and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring execution of promotions
  • Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and new customers
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products invoices and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
  • Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
  • Submit other required documentation paperwork and deposits on time
