Bimbo Bakeries USA is a leading bakery company renowned for its wide range of fresh, quality baked goods that many consumers enjoy daily. Famous brands under its umbrella include Arnold bread, Brownberry bread, Oroweat bread, Thomas English muffins and bagels, Sara Lee cakes, Entenmann's sweets, and Marinela treats. Catering to millions of customers nationwide, Bimbo Bakeries USA operates through a vast network of over 20,000 associates spanning bakeries, sales centers, offices, and sales routes. The company prides itself on providing not just fresh products but also a workplace culture that embraces safety, diversity, inclusion, and development. Its commitment to creating an environment where associates feel valued and empowered allows employees to be authentic and grow professionally.
The Route Sales Professional role at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers an exciting opportunity to join the largest baking company in the world with a family of more than 20,000 associates across the United States. This position is designed for individuals passionate about sales, customer relations, and ensuring product freshness. With a competitive weekly base pay of $750 plus commission—translating to an annual average of $55,000 to $75,000—this full-time role runs from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday, with some variation in hours.
Route Sales Professionals are responsible for merchandising, stocking, and rotating products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the highest quality and freshness for customers. Their duties include driving sales growth by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and analyzing sales data to develop effective store-level strategies. They play a key role in cultivating strong customer relationships by following up on new account opportunities and ensuring promotional execution in stores. Introducing new products and services to customers to maximize sales and shelf space is part of the role, as is managing daily route settlements to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining accurate inventory.
Additionally, the Route Sales Professional must safely operate the company route truck and maintain all related documentation, including Department of Transportation (DOT) logs and paperwork, with strict adherence to schedules. Bimbo Bakeries USA emphasizes safety and compliance in its operations, requiring associates to possess valid driver’s licenses, maintain safe driving records, and—when applicable—acquire a Chauffeur License and DOT medical card.
Working at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers a comprehensive benefits package subject to collective bargaining agreements, including pension plans, medical and dental coverage, paid holidays, and paid time off. This role is ideal for individuals with 1 to 3 years of experience in Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) who are physically capable of performing tasks involving climbing, bending, reaching, and kneeling, and who can communicate effectively in English. Bimbo Bakeries USA is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, embracing diversity and providing reasonable accommodations to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to succeed.
