The Route Sales Professional role at Bimbo Bakeries USA is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to contribute to the company’s retail success by ensuring that bakery products reach store shelves efficiently and in perfect condition. This position is crucial for maintaining product freshness and increasing sales through strategic merchandising and customer relationship management. Route Sales Professionals are responsible for merchandising, stocking, rotating products, and using sales data to optimize displays and shelf placement. This role also involves seeking out new display opportunities, supporting promotional campaigns, introducing new products, and managing daily route settlements, including invoices and inventory tracking.

Safety is paramount in this position, which requires the Route Sales Professional to safely operate company vehicles and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) logs, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Candidates for this role must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and be able to obtain and maintain necessary DOT medical cards and chauffeur licenses when applicable.

This role offers a solid base pay of $301.50 weekly, translating to about $50,000 - $60,000 annually, with a steady shift from 6 am to 3 pm and scheduled days off on Wednesday and Sunday. It’s a fantastic opportunity for individuals with some prior experience in direct sales distribution (DSD) looking to grow in a respected and rewarding company environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a Department of Transportation medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain chauffeur license if job location is in Indiana Michigan or Tennessee
  • Ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public understand highway traffic signs and signals respond to official inquiries and complete reports and records

Job Duties

  • Merchandise stock and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays
  • Drive sales by securing new display space setting up incremental displays and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
  • Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing and new accounts
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products invoices and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
  • Safely drive the company route truck and complete Department of Transportation daily logs
  • Submit required documentation paperwork and deposits on time
