The Route Sales Professional role at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic family of associates. This full-time position offers competitive compensation, including a weekly base pay of $350 plus commission, resulting in an annual average income between $60,000 and $85,000. The position involves varied shifts and comes with comprehensive benefits covering medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Within this role, associates are responsible for merchandising, stocking, and rotating products in stores to ensure freshness and quality. The ideal candidate will drive sales by securing new display spaces, setting up incremental displays, and leveraging sales data to inform strategies at the store level. A key component of the job involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships by following up on new accounts and ensuring the execution of promotions, as well as introducing new products to maximize sales and shelf space.

This position requires handling daily route settlements to keep accurate accounts of products, invoices, cash, and inventory, alongside safely driving the company route truck and completing required Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs. Additionally, the associate will be responsible for submitting all necessary documentation, paperwork, and deposits promptly. This role combines sales acumen with logistics and inventory management, offering a rewarding experience working in the fast-paced food distribution industry. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN)
  • Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred
  • Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for conversation, understanding traffic signs, responding to inquiries, and completing reports
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle and maintain compliance with transportation regulations

Job Duties

  • Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
  • Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
  • Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
  • Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT (US Department of Transportation) daily logs
  • Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
