The role of Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA is essential to maintaining the company’s strong presence at retail locations and ensuring that products reach consumers in optimum condition. This position offers an exciting chance to become part of a vast network within a globally recognized company, enable career advancement, and achieve a desirable work-life balance with a schedule that typically starts between 2 am and 4 am from Wednesday to Sunday, providing time off on other days. Compensation includes a weekly base pay of $350 plus commission, with annual average earnings ranging between $60,000 and $85,000.
As a Route Sales Professional, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, and guaranteeing the proper rotation of bakery products on store shelves and displays to ensure the highest quality and freshness. Driving sales growth by securing new display spaces and setting up incremental displays will be a core function, alongside analyzing sales data to strategically improve store-level product placement and promotions.
Furthermore, this role involves nurturing strong customer relationships by following up on new account opportunities and ensuring full execution of promotional campaigns. Product knowledge and enthusiasm will be key in introducing new products and services to maximize sales and shelf presence, both with existing clients and potential new customers.
Operational responsibilities include conducting daily route settlement procedures, ensuring all products, invoices, and cash are accurately accounted for, and maintaining proper inventory counts. Safely operating the company’s route truck while completing Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs is mandatory to comply with regulatory standards. Additional administrative duties involve timely submission of required documentation, paperwork, and deposits.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
- Ability to acquire and maintain DOT medical card
- Successfully obtain chauffer license if job location is in IN MI TN
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing pushing pulling bending stooping kneeling and frequent reaching
- 1-3 years related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with public understand highway traffic signs respond to inquiries and make entries on reports
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
