The role of a Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a vital position responsible for driving sales and maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring the freshest products reach consumers at every meal. This role offers a weekly base pay of 475 dollars plus commission, equating to an average annual income of 65,000 to 75,000 dollars. It features a 3rd shift opening starting at 2 am with Wednesdays and Sundays off, providing a balanced work schedule. The Route Sales Professional is responsible for merchandising and stocking products on store shelves, guaranteeing proper rotation to maintain optimal freshness and quality. They play a crucial role in expanding the presence of Bimbo Bakeries' offerings by securing new display space, setting up additional displays, and analyzing sales data to develop effective store-level strategies. Additionally, they drive sales growth by following up on new account opportunities, introducing new products and services, and ensuring promotional executions. Responsibilities also include conducting daily route settlements to account for all products, invoices, and cash, keeping accurate inventory counts, safely operating company vehicles, and completing all required DOT logs and paperwork in a timely manner. This position requires strong organizational skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently within an established route structure. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN)
  • Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred
  • Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records

Job Duties

  • Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
  • Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
  • Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
  • Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
  • Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
