The company is currently hiring for the position of Route Sales Professional, a critical role that contributes directly to the success and growth of Bimbo Bakeries USA. This role offers competitive pay with a weekly base salary of $478 plus commission, targeting an annual average income ranging from $65,000 to $75,000. The work schedule typically starts early at 3:00 am, with Wednesdays and Sundays off, providing a balanced work-life arrangement. Additionally, the employment includes benefits subject to collective bargaining terms, such as pension plans, medical and dental coverage, paid holidays, and paid time off.
As a Route Sales Professional, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, and ensuring proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee freshness and quality. Your efforts will directly impact sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and utilizing sales data to create effective in-store strategies. Building strong customer relationships by following up on new account opportunities and ensuring the execution of promotions will be a key part of your role. You will also introduce new products and services to maximize sales opportunities within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
The job includes conducting daily route settlement procedures, accounting for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts. Safely driving the company route truck and completing US Department of Transportation daily logs is essential, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Submitting required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time is also an integral part of this position. This role requires a motivated individual willing to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to one of the largest baking companies in the world and joining an extensive national team of dedicated associates.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a Department of Transportation medical card
- Ability to obtain chauffeur license if job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee
- Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods and perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution is preferred
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
