The Route Sales Professional role at Bimbo Bakeries USA is an essential position responsible for driving product distribution and sales growth within assigned territories. This role is ideal for individuals who have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a passion for customer service and sales. As a Route Sales Professional, you will merchandise, stock, and rotate products to ensure freshness and quality in retail locations. You will actively seek new business opportunities by securing additional display space and implementing incremental displays to boost sales. Ensuring the execution of promotions, following up on new account opportunities, and building long-lasting customer relationships are key responsibilities. In addition, the role involves daily route settlement procedures, accurate inventory management, safe driving of company vehicles, documentation submission, and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

This position offers a competitive weekly base pay of $350 plus commission, with an annual average compensation ranging from $60,000 to $84,999. The typical shift starts early in the morning between 2 am and 4 am, Wednesday through Sunday, offering weekends off to promote work-life balance. This role requires candidates to be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to maintain a DOT medical card. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain chauffeur license if job location is in IN MI TN
  • Ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations the ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public understand highway signs respond to inquiries and complete reports
  • 1-3 years of related experience in DSD is preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and ability to maintain required documentation
  • Ability to operate route delivery vehicles safely
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships

Job Duties

  • Merchandise stock and ensure proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays
  • Drive sales by securing new display space and setting up incremental displays
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships
  • Ensure the execution of promotions
  • Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures including accounting for products invoices and cash
  • Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
  • Submit required documentation paperwork and deposits on time
