The Route Sales Professional role at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a critical position within the company’s sales and distribution network. This role involves active engagement with retail partners to merchandise, stock, and manage product displays ensuring optimal rotation and freshness to maintain the highest quality standards. Individuals in this role are tasked with driving sales by securing additional display space, implementing incremental displays, and leveraging sales data to tailor strategies that maximize product visibility and sales performance. Building and nurturing strong customer relationships is key, along with the introduction of new products and promotional activities, to enhance revenue opportunities and expand market presence within established and new accounts.

This position requires a dependable professional who can manage daily route settlement processes, including product inventory, invoicing, and cash handling with accuracy and integrity. Operating a company truck safely and adhering to DOT regulations is essential, including maintaining necessary daily logs. The work schedule for this role is set from 4:00 am to 1:00 pm with Wednesdays and Sundays off, providing a structured routine and work-life balance. The company offers a weekly base pay of $325 plus commission, with an annual average earnings range between $60,000 and $80,000. Full benefits are provided, including medical, dental, vision coverage, and a retirement plan. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • successfully able to obtain chauffer license if job location is in IN MI TN
  • ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in DSD preferred
  • consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and records

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older

  • have 1-3 years of related experience in Direct Sales Distribution preferred

Job Duties

  • Merchandise stock and ensure proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee quality and freshness
  • drive sales by securing new display space setting up incremental displays and using sales data to inform store strategies
  • follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring promotion execution
  • introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing and new accounts
  • conduct daily route settlement procedures accounting for products invoices and cash while maintaining inventory counts
  • safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
  • submit required documentation paperwork and deposits on time
