The position of Route Sales Professional is an integral role within Bimbo Bakeries USA. This role is part of the largest baking company in the world, offering candidates a chance to join a national family of 20,000 associates. The employment opportunity comes with competitive compensation, including $300 weekly base pay plus commission, which translates to an average annual salary range of $60,000 to $85,000. The work schedule is typically from 2 am to 4 am, Wednesday through Sunday, with weekends off. Full benefits are also offered, including medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan.

As a Route Sales Professional, the employee is responsible for merchandising, stocking, and ensuring proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to maintain quality and freshness. They drive sales growth by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to develop store-level strategies. The role also involves following up on new account opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and executing promotions effectively. Additionally, the professional introduces new products and services to maximize sales and shelf presence in existing accounts while pursuing new customers.

The daily responsibilities include conducting route settlement procedures to account for products, invoices, and cash, along with maintaining accurate inventory counts. The role requires safely driving the company route truck and completing Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs, as well as submitting all necessary documentation, paperwork, and deposits punctually. This role demands a combination of sales acumen, organizational skills, and adherence to safety regulations, making it crucial to the company’s operations and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully obtain chauffeur license if job location is in Indiana Michigan or Tennessee
  • Ability to physically perform tasks such as climbing pushing pulling bending stooping kneeling and frequent reaching
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for official communications and roadway safety

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public understand traffic signs respond to inquiries and complete reports
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Ability to climb push pull bend stoop kneel and perform frequent reaching and use of fingers

Job Duties

  • Merchandise stock and ensure proper product rotation on shelves and displays to guarantee freshness
