The Route Sales Professional role at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers a compelling opportunity to join a leading company that prioritizes growth and employee satisfaction. This role is a first-shift position starting early in the morning with a schedule that includes Wednesday and Sunday off, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. The compensation package features a competitive base pay of $165 weekly, supplemented by commissions that typically yield an annual average salary of $55,000 to $65,000. In this role, Route Sales Professionals are responsible for merchandising, stocking, and maintaining product freshness and quality on store shelves and displays. They play a key role in driving sales by securing new display spaces and setting up incremental displays while using sales data to inform and optimize store-level sales strategies. Building strong relationships with customers, following up on new account opportunities, and executing promotional activities are critical aspects of the job. The role also involves introducing new products and services to expand sales and shelf space within existing accounts, as well as attracting new customers.
Operationally, Route Sales Professionals conduct daily route settlement procedures that include accounting for all products, invoices, and cash, maintaining precise inventory counts, and managing required documentation and paperwork efficiently. Safely driving the company route truck and completing Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs is an essential responsibility, emphasizing safety and regulatory compliance. This position requires physical stamina as the job entails climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, frequent reaching, and manual dexterity.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- Successfully able to obtain chauffer license if job location is in IN, MI, TN
- Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- 1-3 years of related experience in DSD is preferred
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- Ability to obtain chauffer license if job location is in IN, MI, TN
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
- Ability to understand and communicate in English sufficiently to converse with the public and complete reports
- Physical ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
Job Duties

- Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
