This position is full-time and offers competitive weekly pay with a base salary plus commission, ensuring a solid financial foundation with a $1,000 weekly guarantee and an average annual income ranging between $52,000 and $70,000. The work schedule begins early at 5:00 am and includes Wednesdays and Sundays off, providing a good balance between professional and personal life. As a Route Sales Professional, you will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of product freshness and presentation that Bimbo Bakeries USA is known for. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking, and ensuring correct product rotation on shelves and displays to maintain quality. Driving sales growth is a vital part of your role, requiring you to secure new display spaces, set up incremental displays, and use sales data strategically to optimize store-level results. You will also develop strong customer relationships by following up on new account opportunities, ensuring promotion execution, and introducing new products and services to maximize sales within existing accounts and potential new customers. Additionally, daily operational tasks like completing route settlement procedures, maintaining inventory counts, and submitting necessary documentation and paperwork punctuate your daily routine. Importantly, operating the company’s route truck safely and maintaining compliance with Department of Transportation regulations is essential to this position.

Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
  • Ability to acquire and maintain Department of Transportation medical card
  • Ability to obtain Chauffeur License if job location is in Indiana Michigan or Tennessee
  • Physical ability to climb push pull bend stoop kneel and perform frequent reaching
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English to converse with public understand highway signs and make entries on reports

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to acquire and maintain Department of Transportation medical card
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway traffic signs
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred
  • Knowledge of route sales practices and customer relationship management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles

Job Duties

  • Merchandise stock and ensure proper product rotation on store shelves and displays
  • Drive sales by securing new display space and setting up incremental displays
  • Use sales data to inform store-level sales strategies
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships
  • Ensure execution of promotions and introduce new products and services
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures including accounting for products invoices and cash
  • Safely drive company route truck and complete Department of Transportation daily logs
