The position of Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized company with a strong commitment to its employees and customers. The role involves daily interaction with retail customers, managing merchandise displays, and performing direct sales distribution (DSD) on designated sales routes. With a guaranteed weekly pay of $1,000 and an average annual income between $52,000 and $70,000, this position offers financial stability and growth potential.
Route Sales Professionals are essential team members who work early morning shifts starting at 5:00 a.m., with Wednesdays and Sundays off. This position requires genuine customer service skills, attention to detail, and the physical ability to handle product stocking, rotation, and in-store merchandising.
Beyond the operational responsibilities, Route Sales Professionals use sales data to enhance product placement and expand display spaces to drive revenue. They also play a critical role in building strong relationships with store personnel by following up on new accounts, introducing new products, and ensuring promotional activities are executed effectively. This role requires accountability for daily route settlements, including managing invoices, cash, inventory, and submitting required documentation punctually.
As a driver of the company’s delivery truck, the Route Sales Professional must comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and maintain all necessary licenses and medical certifications. The position demands physical stamina and agility for pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and frequent reaching to manage product handling safely and efficiently. Those with 1-3 years of related experience in DSD will find themselves well-prepared to succeed in this role.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a Department of Transportation medical card
- Successfully able to obtain chauffer license if job location is in Indiana Michigan or Tennessee
- Ability to climb push pull bend stoop and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution is preferred
- Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public understand highway traffic signs respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and records
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to acquire and maintain a Department of Transportation medical card

Job Duties
- Merchandise stock and ensure proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee best quality and freshness
- Drive sales by securing new display space setting up incremental displays and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
- Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring execution of promotions
- Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
- Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products invoices and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
- Safely drive the company route truck and complete Department of Transportation daily logs
- Submit required documentation paperwork and deposits on time
