The role of a Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA is crucial in maintaining the company's strong presence in retail stores and ensuring the delivery of fresh products to consumers. This full-time position offers a weekly base pay starting at $1,000, averaging an annual income between $60,000 and $75,000. The work schedule starts early, between 3:00 am and 5:00 am, with Wednesdays and Sundays off, providing a balanced week for employees.

As a Route Sales Professional, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, and rotating products on store shelves to guarantee optimal freshness and quality. You will also drive sales by securing new display spaces, setting up incremental displays, and utilizing sales data to develop effective strategies at the store level. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships will be a key part of your role, as you follow up on new account opportunities and ensure the successful execution of promotional campaigns. Moreover, you will introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within current accounts and potential new customers.

Daily responsibilities include conducting route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash, while maintaining accurate inventory counts. Operational safety is paramount; therefore, you will be required to safely drive the company route truck and complete required Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs. Compliance with company policies means timely submission of all required documentation, paperwork, and deposits.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain chauffeur license if job location is in IN, MI, or TN
  • Ability to climb, push, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in DSD preferred
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution (DSD) preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to acquire and maintain DOT medical card
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills for handling invoices and cash
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and understand highway signs
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and frequent reaching
  • Ability to obtain chauffeur license if located in IN, MI, or TN

Job Duties
