The role of Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a crucial position that combines sales acumen with operational responsibilities. In this role, associates are responsible for merchandising, stocking, and ensuring proper product rotation on store shelves and displays to guarantee product quality and freshness. The position requires the ability to drive sales by securing new display spaces, setting up incremental displays, and leveraging sales data to shape store-level strategies. Route Sales Professionals follow up on new account opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and manage the execution of promotions to maximize sales effectiveness. The role also involves introducing new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts, as well as pursuing new customer opportunities. Operational duties include conducting daily route settlement procedures, maintaining accurate inventory counts, and handling invoices and cash. Additionally, the role requires safely driving the company route truck and completing Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs, as well as submitting required documentation on time. The position offers a weekly base pay of $350 plus commission, with an average annual total compensation between $65,000 and $80,000. Work schedules start early at 4:00 AM and typically include Wednesday through Sunday off, providing a balanced work-life arrangement. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- Successfully able to obtain Chauffeur License if job location is in IN, MI, TN
- Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred
- Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports and records
