Job Description
Ole is a distinguished company dedicated to crafting the finest authentic Mexican-inspired food products with a steadfast commitment to quality and freshness. As a well-established entity in the food production industry, Ole prides itself on its mission to bring wholesome, fun, and authentic eating experiences to families through their innovative and premium product offerings. The company is known for its tradition of excellence, emphasizing the importance of quality ingredients and meticulous preparation methods that bring the rich flavors of Mexican cuisine directly to consumers’ tables. Ole believes that being part of family meals across the country is the ultimate compliment, and this belief drives every action and decision made within the company. Ole’s products, especially their tortillas, have become a trusted staple in grocery stores, reflecting their passion for authenticity and freshness in every bite.
The role of Route Driver at Ole is a vital position focused on ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of the company’s products to grocery stores. This position is not remote or hybrid, requiring the driver to be actively involved in the physical transportation and handling of products along predetermined routes. The Route Driver will be responsible for dropping off and picking up products like tortillas, using a designated schedule to maintain product availability and freshness at various retail locations. Beyond transportation, the driver will keep detailed travel logs documenting working hours, travel times, and places visited, which helps maintain excellent operational standards. The job also includes performing daily inspections of the company vehicle to guarantee its readiness and safety for each trip. Success in this role comes from a commitment to punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail, ensuring that all deliveries are accurate and timely, and any potential issues such as incorrect addresses or delays are proactively handled.
Candidates for this role should possess experience with handheld devices and printers to create invoices and credits efficiently. Knowledge of direct store delivery (DSD) operations, especially to grocery chains and independent stores, is important. Additionally, physical tasks such as loading products from the warehouse and unloading them at delivery accounts, alongside merchandising duties, require a hands-on, proactive approach. The ability to adjust routes to circumvent traffic or construction and clear communication with company management about any incidents or vehicle issues are critical job functions. Joining Ole as a Route Driver means becoming an essential part of a dedicated team working tirelessly to uphold Ole’s high standards and to extend their authentic Mexican food experience across communities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the operational success of the company, ensuring the promise of quality and freshness reaches every customer efficiently.
