Ole is currently seeking a reliable Route Sales Driver to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time position focused on supporting the transportation and delivery of Ole's highly regarded products, primarily tortillas, to various grocery store locations including both chain and independent stores. The key responsibilities include distributing products according to established routes, maintaining meticulous records of travel and deliveries, and ensuring the company vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and safely operated at all times. This role is essential to maintaining the supply chain's integrity and upholding Ole's commitment to quality and prompt delivery.
The Route Sales Driver will take on a critical role by managing all aspects of product transportation. This includes loading products from the warehouse, delivering them to grocery store clients, and handling cardboard displays used for merchandising. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with handheld invoicing devices and printers to generate sales invoices and credit records accurately. Additionally, the driver must demonstrate knowledge of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) processes, ensuring the products reach the stores on schedule and are presented in a manner consistent with company standards.
The position requires adaptability in route planning to avoid traffic delays and ensure timely product delivery. The Route Sales Driver will also serve as an ambassador of the Ole brand while making deliveries, so maintaining professional conduct and communication is vital. Ensuring that all delivery details such as addresses and schedules are verified before starting the route will contribute to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Other important functions include daily inspections of the company vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety, prompt reporting of any vehicle issues or traffic citations, and proactive upkeep of the vehicle’s cleanliness. The candidate must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently, demonstrating strong organization and communication skills. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a significant advantage in this role due to the nature of the market and customer base.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- Must be 23 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Sound knowledge of road safety regulations
- Working knowledge of local roads and routes
- The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals
- Punctual and reliable
Job Qualifications
- Handheld and printer experience to create invoices and credits
- Knowledge of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) to grocery stores including chains and independents
- Ability to load from warehouse and unload delivery vehicle to accounts
- Experience in Merchandising
- Effective communication skills
- Bilingual English Spanish is a plus
Job Duties
- Safely transporting company product (tortillas) and materials (cardboard displays) to and from specified locations in a timely manner
- Assisting with the loading and offloading of product and materials
- Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction
- Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours
- Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing
- Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning, and vehicle maintenance
- Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle's coming and goings
- Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management
