The role of Route Rider at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the largest baking company in the world. This position plays a crucial role in the delivery and sales of bakery products to retail locations. Route Riders are responsible for merchandising, stocking shelves, ensuring product quality and freshness through proper product rotation, and driving sales by securing new display space and setting up incremental displays. The job requires maintaining strong relationships with customers and effectively managing promotions in assigned accounts. Route Riders also introduce new products and services to enhance sales and expand shelf space within existing and new accounts. Responsibilities extend to conducting daily route settlements, safely operating a company route truck, completing US Department of Transportation daily logs, and ensuring that all required documentation and payments are submitted promptly.
This role offers competitive compensation, including a weekly base pay of $225 plus commission, amounting to an average annual salary between $60,000 and $63,000. It features an early morning shift schedule with Wednesdays and Sundays off, thus allowing for a balanced work-life arrangement. Additionally, Bimbo Bakeries USA provides a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan, supporting the well-being and future security of its associates. The Route Rider position demands physical activity such as climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, and kneeling, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy dynamic and active work environments. The ideal candidate must hold a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, be at least 21 years old, and be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card, with the ability to obtain a Chauffeur License if located in certain states (Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee). Prior experience in Direct Sales Distribution is preferred.
Joining Bimbo Bakeries USA means joining a family-oriented company that provides equal employment opportunities to all employees regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status. The company embraces diversity and inclusion and provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities. By becoming a Route Rider, you will not only play a vital role in delivering fresh bakery products to consumers but also be part of a company culture that values respect, employee growth, and community involvement.
