The Route Rider role at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers a unique opportunity to join this thriving team. This position combines elements of sales, customer service, and logistics to ensure that retail partners are well stocked with fresh bakery products. Route Riders play a critical role in driving sales growth through securing new display spaces, setting up incremental displays, and utilizing sales data to strategize effectively at the store level. The role demands excellent customer relationship skills as Route Riders follow up on new account opportunities and facilitate the successful execution of promotions. Additionally, Route Riders introduce new products and services to maximize sales and optimize shelf space in existing accounts, while also pursuing new customer relationships. Operational duties include conducting daily route settlements, managing inventory accurately, and complying with all regulatory requirements related to driving and documentation.
The position provides a weekly base pay of $260.00 plus commission, averaging between $55,000 and $63,000 annually. The work schedule includes having Wednesdays and Sundays off, offering a balanced work-life routine. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
- Successfully able to obtain Chauffeur License (if job location is in IN, MI, TN)
- Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
- 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred
- Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records

Job Duties
- Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness
- Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies
- Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions
- Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers
- Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts
- Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs
- Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
