Job Description

Alsco Uniforms is a pioneering company with a long-standing history dating back to 1889 when it revolutionized the uniform and linen rental industry. Over more than a century, Alsco has grown into a global leader in providing uniform rental and linen services, serving over 350,000 customers across 13 countries. Known for a steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction, innovation, and continuous improvement, Alsco Uniforms has earned a reputation for excellence within its industry. The company prides itself on fostering a team-oriented culture that values diversity, inclusion, and professional growth, making it a sought-after employer for ambitious professionals who want to advance their careers in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Alsco Uniforms is currently seeking a dedicated Route Relief/Utility Route Sales Representative (RSR) to join their Service Department. This full-time non-exempt position is instrumental to the company’s ongoing mission to provide exceptional customer service while supporting sales growth through up-selling and cross-selling initiatives. The Route Relief/Utility RSR plays a critical role by covering regular routes in the absence of the assigned Route Sales Representatives, ensuring uninterrupted service to customers during holidays, vacations, or other vacancies. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in route management, customer relationships, sales, and logistics.

The primary responsibilities of the Route Relief/Utility RSR include learning and supporting multiple routes, performing deliveries and pick-ups efficiently, processing customer payments, maintaining accurate route documentation, and sustaining proper inventory levels in customer accounts. Beyond route duties, the role involves assisting in rush deliveries, renewals, audits, training sessions, and other service-related tasks as assigned by supervisory staff. The employee is expected to actively participate in company promotions, contests, and continuous training programs, further strengthening their output and contribution to the Service Department.

Key to success in this role is the ability to build and nurture customer relationships by providing outstanding service, educating clients, and proactively addressing any concerns. The Route Relief/Utility RSR must be a reliable and safety-conscious operator of company vehicles, consistently adhering to all traffic laws and company policies while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety inspections. The position requires excellent communication skills, numeracy for accurate product counting and cash handling, and the capability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 75 pounds and managing heavy carts.

Alsco Uniforms offers a competitive compensation package that includes a 401K plan with company match, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, sick time and holidays, choice of payment method between Global Cash Card or direct deposit, and career advancement opportunities. The company emphasizes ongoing learning and development within an inclusive and diverse work environment, making it an ideal workplace for motivated individuals wishing to grow professionally while contributing meaningfully to customer satisfaction and company success.
