Job Description

Mission Linen Supply is a family owned and privately held company that has been a prominent provider of linen rental and uniform services since its founding in 1930. Headquartered in Santa Barbara, the company has evolved from a one-man operation to a leading player serving hospitality, medical, and industrial businesses across five western states. Mission Linen Supply is widely respected for its commitment to understanding and anticipating customer needs while delivering environmentally friendly products and services. With a rich history spanning over nine decades, Mission Linen Supply values quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, making it a trusted partner for businesses requiring reliable linen and uniform solutions.

The Route Sales and Service Driver - Route Relief role at Mission Linen Supply offers a unique opportunity for motivated drivers to represent the company in their community through sales and service actions. This role centers on delivering excellent customer service, driving a 26-foot bobtail truck, and engaging in sales to develop new business opportunities. The position is commission-based with a pay rate starting at $26 an hour, influenced by the candidate's education, experience, qualifications, and assignment location. Once a route is assigned, the average total annual compensation can exceed $80,000, with potential for much higher earnings depending on sales performance.

This position requires individuals who are comfortable handling physical tasks such as loading and unloading up to 50 lbs of linens daily and operating medium-sized commercial vehicles. The role is ideal for self-driven professionals with sales and customer service experience, a clean driver’s license, and a readiness to meet the company’s high standards of appearance and conduct. As a Route Relief Driver, you will call on prospective customers, maintain existing relationships, handle service complaints, collect payments, and ensure inventory accuracy while showcasing professionalism and courtesy at all times.
