The Route Driver - Micro Market position at Canteen is a full-time role based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, at their site located at 7350 William Avenue. This role is fundamental to the company’s operations as it involves servicing micro market locations along an assigned route. The Route Driver is responsible for delivering products, restocking micro market items, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The scheduled working days are Thursday through Monday, with hours varying based on operational needs and further details discussed during the interview process. The hourly pay rate for this position is $25.00, with potential commission eligibility and an internal employee referral bonus.

A typical day for the Route Driver includes driving a company vehicle to multiple micro market locations, performing inventory management, cleaning and maintaining micro market equipment, setting up sales promotion displays, and building strong client relationships. This individual acts as the face of Canteen, projecting professionalism and a positive image of the company. Safety and proper vehicle maintenance, including conducting pre and post-trip inspections, are critical responsibilities. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for micro market
  • Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance
  • Display a clear understanding of company policies and ability to administer as needed
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of micro market and other related equipment
  • Conduct minor service and adjustments on markets and report defective equipment
  • Ensure truck is properly loaded with all product required to service scheduled markets
  • Inform clients and customers of new products or services and resolve complaints
  • Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales materials
  • Accountable for receipts, invoices, delivery tickets, cash, and product
  • Conduct inventory reconciliation according to district procedures
  • Keep company vehicle clean and organized
  • perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and professional manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
