The Route Coverage Specialist role at UniFirst is a vital position that directly contributes to the seamless operation of delivery routes. This dynamic, fast-paced job involves stepping in to cover for Route Service Representatives (RSRs) whenever necessary, ensuring customers receive uninterrupted and high-quality service. As a Route Coverage Specialist, you will receive training across multiple delivery routes, gaining proficiency in various customer-specific details. This role demands adaptability, excellent time management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a service-driven environment. Responsibilities include safely loading, transporting, and unloading garments and products, collecting soiled items, and maintaining vehicle safety standards. Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years old
- valid driver’s license
- clean driving record
- reliable transportation
- meet DOT requirements including physical exam
- high school diploma, GED or military service required
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work independently and in a team
- prior experience in client service or route sales preferred
- comfortable with technology
- physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
