Job Description

UniFirst is a prominent international leader in the $18 billion garment services industry, with a team of over 16,000 dedicated professionals serving 300,000 business customer locations across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Known for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, UniFirst has earned recognition on prestigious lists such as Selling Power magazine's "Best Companies to Sell For" and Forbes magazine's "Platinum 400 – Best Big Companies." The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment where every team member's background and perspective are valued equally. UniFirst adheres to equal employment opportunities, ensuring no individual faces discrimination based on race, color, gender, national origin, or any other protected characteristic. The company also supports applicants who require accommodations during the hiring process by providing appropriate assistance upon request.

As a Route Coverage Specialist at UniFirst, you play a vital role in sustaining seamless service operations by stepping in to cover delivery routes when Route Service Representatives (RSRs) are unavailable. This position is service-driven and requires proactive, agile professionals who thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments. You will be trained to handle multiple routes, developing in-depth knowledge of the customers, route logistics, and unique service requirements to ensure top-tier service delivery. Your work will be central to maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty through accurate delivery of clean garments and products, collection of soiled items, and strong communication.

This role involves more than just delivery; you will engage in critical support functions such as conducting inventory audits, managing invoices, maintaining the vehicle's safety and cleanliness, and assisting with new account installations and rerouting efforts. UniFirst emphasizes operational excellence and safety, expecting strict adherence to traffic laws and company policies. The Route Coverage Specialist also has the opportunity to contribute to sales growth through upselling and fostering strong customer relationships. These tasks demand excellent problem-solving skills, independence, and an ability to collaborate effectively with service, sales, production, and office teams.

UniFirst offers a varied schedule that promises a fresh and enriching work experience every day. The role is perfect for individuals who enjoy autonomy while appreciating the importance of teamwork. The company's culture champions employee development, providing continuous training and opportunities for career advancement. The Monday through Friday day shift schedule supports work-life balance, making this position both professionally rewarding and personally sustainable.

Overall, the Route Coverage Specialist role at UniFirst is designed for motivated individuals who possess strong customer service orientation, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. Joining UniFirst means taking the next step in a rewarding career with a respected company that values its employees' contributions and well-being, offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a vibrant, inclusive culture.
