Serving approximately 300,000 business customer locations across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, UniFirst has earned recognition for excellence, including top rankings in Selling Power magazine's "Best Companies to Sell For" and Forbes magazine's "Platinum 400 - Best Big Companies." Known for its commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunity employment, UniFirst fosters a supportive work environment where individuals from varied backgrounds can thrive and build rewarding careers. The company strongly emphasizes safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction, positioning itself as a leader in delivering quality garment and product services.

UniFirst is currently seeking a dynamic and proactive Route Coverage Specialist to join its team. This key service professional plays a critical role in ensuring continuous and seamless delivery service by covering delivery routes when primary Route Service Representatives (RSRs) are unavailable. The Route Coverage Specialist is trained across multiple delivery routes, providing flexibility and agility necessary to meet the varied demands of UniFirst's valuable customers. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy variety in their work, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

In this role, the Route Coverage Specialist will be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading clean garments, flat goods, and other products to customers along established routes. Additionally, the specialist collects and secures used or soiled products for return, ensuring timely and accurate service. With a focus on operational excellence, the specialist manages invoices, conducts inventory audits, maintains the safety and appearance of delivery vehicles, and adheres strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies. Working closely with various departments including Service, Production, Sales, and Office teams, the specialist supports new account installations, assists on active routes, contributes to rerouting efforts, and engages in collections activities. This role also presents opportunities to upsell and help strengthen customer relationships through positive interaction and clear communication.

Core competencies for this position include stellar time management, adaptability to changing routes and customer needs, a customer-centric mindset, and strong collaboration and team support skills. The role requires a balance of autonomy and teamwork, offering the chance to work independently while remaining deeply connected with the broader UniFirst team. The Route Coverage Specialist position provides an enriching and varied work experience where every day brings new routes and customers, making the work engaging and fulfilling.

UniFirst offers competitive compensation and benefits, including a Monday through Friday day shift schedule supporting work-life balance, extensive training and career development opportunities, and a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. This is an excellent career opportunity for motivated individuals ready to contribute to a company that values service excellence and workplace adaptability.
