Job Description

UniFirst is a prominent leader in the garment services industry, with a significant presence across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Established as an international service provider, UniFirst operates within a competitive $18 billion market, employing over 16,000 team partners to serve more than 300,000 business customer locations. The company has earned recognition in major industry publications, highlighting its excellence in sales and corporate culture by being listed among Selling Power magazine’s "Best Companies to Sell For" and Forbes magazine’s "Platinum 400 – Best Big Companies." UniFirst prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment, offering equal employment opportunities and adhering to strict anti-discrimination policies. The company supports reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities to ensure accessibility in the hiring process.

As a Route Coverage Specialist at UniFirst, you are stepping into a vital role that ensures uninterrupted service continuity for our valued clients. This position requires flexibility, agility, and a proactive mindset, as you will be called upon to cover various delivery routes when the regular Route Service Representatives (RSRs) are unavailable. Engaging in this fast-paced and dynamic role, you will receive thorough training across multiple routes, enabling you to become proficient in the specific customer needs and operational details required to deliver exceptional service.

Your daily responsibilities will include safely managing the transportation of garments, flat goods, and other products to customers, as well as handling the collection of used or soiled items for timely return processing. Maintaining high standards of customer service is essential, as your interactions directly influence customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will also engage in problem-solving activities independently, addressing unique challenges and requests with professionalism and efficiency.

Operational excellence is a key focus, with duties ranging from invoice management and inventory audits to ensuring the cleanliness and safety of your company vehicle. Safety compliance with all traffic laws and company policies is paramount to protect yourself, your customers, and the company’s reputation. Collaboration with service, management, sales, and production teams forms a crucial part of your role, particularly when supporting new account installations, route adjustments, and upselling opportunities.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on variety and change, enjoy working independently while still contributing as part of a team, and value a role that requires adaptability and time management. UniFirst offers a supportive culture where your efforts to deliver superior service are recognized and rewarded, alongside opportunities for career development and professional growth. Join UniFirst and become an integral part of a company that values commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and employee success.
