With a workforce of over 16,000 team partners, UniFirst proudly serves more than 300,000 business customer locations across the United States, Canada, and Europe. The company operates in an $18 billion industry and has earned accolades such as inclusion in Selling Power magazine's "Best Companies to Sell For" and Forbes magazine's "Platinum 400 – Best Big Companies" list. UniFirst is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, diverse work environment and providing equal opportunities to all employees regardless of race, gender, age, religion, or other protected categories.

The Route Coverage Specialist role at UniFirst is a vital position that supports the smooth operation of delivery routes, ensuring the company’s valued customers receive exceptional service at all times. It is a dynamic, fast-paced role ideal for individuals who thrive on variety, adaptability, and proactive problem solving. As a Route Coverage Specialist, you will be extensively trained on multiple routes, gaining the knowledge and skills needed to step in whenever a Route Service Representative (RSR) is unavailable. Your responsibilities include delivering clean garments and products to customers, collecting used items, and maintaining operational excellence through meticulous management of invoices and inventories.

This role requires the ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with service, sales, and management teams. You will be entrusted with ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving issues efficiently and maintaining strong communication lines with location leadership. The position promotes agility by offering ever-changing routes and conditions, making each day uniquely engaging and rewarding. Safety is paramount, and candidates must adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards to protect themselves, customers, and the company.

UniFirst supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package including competitive compensation, 401(k) with company match, profit sharing, health and life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts. The company also emphasizes work-life balance with a Monday through Friday day shift schedule. With continuous training and career development opportunities, UniFirst provides a nurturing environment where employees can grow professionally and personally.

This position requires a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. A high school diploma, GED, or military service is required, along with the physical stamina necessary to perform the job duties. Prior experience in customer service or delivery is advantageous, and comfort with technology to enhance operational processes is essential.

UniFirst is an equal opportunity employer committed to removing barriers during the hiring process and providing reasonable accommodations upon request. The company values transparency and caution against fraudulent requests for personal financial information during recruitment. If you are looking for a challenging and fulfilling career with a company that values service excellence and employee growth, UniFirst invites you to join their dedicated team and contribute to their ongoing success.
