As a leader in the food delivery sector, Unity Foods emphasizes adherence to regulatory compliance and prides itself on fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment. The company operates with a strong focus on safety protocols and employee development, positioning itself as a preferred employer in the logistics and foodservice industry.
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join the Unity Foods team. This full-time position offers a competitive starting pay from $22.00 per hour and requires the individual to operate a 26-foot box truck or van to deliver and unload a variety of products to our valued customers. The role demands excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while following all state and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
The Delivery Driver is responsible for managing assigned routes and adhering closely to scheduled delivery windows to ensure customer satisfaction. Tasks include unloading products by hand or with a hand cart, managing product placement in designated areas, and handling product weights ranging up to 80 pounds. The driver must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and must perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, and reaching to handle product deliveries efficiently. Daily responsibilities also include verifying deliveries with customers, obtaining necessary signatures, and reporting any discrepancies or returns to management promptly.
Additionally, the Delivery Driver will be responsible for collecting payments where applicable and managing all funds in accordance with company policies. Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections must be conducted following DOT and company guidelines to guarantee safety and compliance. The right candidate will be expected to maintain and operate all assigned delivery equipment, use personal protective gear appropriately, and actively participate in required company meetings and training sessions.
This role requires flexibility, including overtime hours, weekend and holiday work, and early morning starts to meet business needs. Unity Foods values professionalism, efficiency, and teamwork, encouraging its drivers to take ownership of their work while fostering positive customer relations and problem-solving skills. If you are an individual who enjoys a dynamic work environment, prioritizes safety, and is committed to delivering exceptional service, then Unity Foods welcomes your application for this vital role within our operations.
