We are currently seeking a dedicated Route Delivery Driver to join our Columbus team. This role is a crucial part of our delivery network, focused on the safe and accurate transportation of food products and supplies to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing deliveries with precision, ensuring all food safety and handling procedures are followed, and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of their delivery vehicle. Besides driving, the role involves performing vehicle inspections, managing delivery records, and assisting with the packing and storing of food items as necessary. The Route Delivery Driver must have excellent communication and customer service skills and operate within the compliance guidelines including maintaining a valid driver’s license and DOT card.

Employment for this role requires candidates to pass an extensive background check including FBI and BCI fingerprinting in accordance with Ohio state regulations, reflecting the sensitive nature of services provided. This full-time position follows a standard weekly schedule with possible weekend shifts to meet business demands. Job Requirements

Valid driver license with no DUI in last 5 years and 0-4 current points
Good communication and customer service skills
Experience with general office equipment and computers
Familiarity with GPS and tablet technologies
Minimum 3 years of route delivery or distribution experience preferred
ServSafe food handler certification required
Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOT card
Ability to stand under one-third of the time
Ability to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
Ability to taste or smell
Use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms for one-third to two-thirds of the time
Sit, see, talk, or hear for over two-thirds of the time
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work under various weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow
Ability to work weekends when required
Successful completion of background screening including FBI and BCI fingerprinting according to Ohio state requirements

Job Duties

Safe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes/sites in a timely and accurate manner
Vehicle upkeep and cleanliness
Maintain food safety and handling procedures with compliance to temperature requirements
Report any deficiencies or problems to supervisor promptly
Maintain driver scorecard and other required recordkeeping
Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain service records
Check vehicle fluid levels and perform general routine inspection of vehicle to ensure all is in working order
Assist with packing and/or storing of food items, components and/or supplies as required
Regular attendance required to meet employer's attendance policy to ensure customer deliveries can be accomplished as scheduled
Other duties as assigned by management
