Job Description

This role is designed for individuals passionate about the food and beverage industry and eager to contribute to an exceptional dining environment. The position focuses on delivering excellent guest service by taking and managing food and drink orders efficiently and accurately. The server will be responsible for guiding guests through the menu options, providing expert recommendations, and ensuring that each order meets or exceeds guest expectations. An essential part of the role is demonstrating genuine hospitality, establishing a rapport with guests, and responding promptly to their needs throughout the dining experience.

This job requires attention to detail in communicating specific dietary needs or allergies to the kitchen staff to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. Additionally, servers will perform various supportive duties such as cleaning service stations and dining areas, pre-busing tables, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of table tents and POS materials. Handling payments efficiently and professionally is also a crucial responsibility.

The role reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and requires excellent communication skills to maintain effective interactions with guests as well as colleagues. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year serving experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification within the first 30 days
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move product up to 50 lbs
  • Fine finger manipulation
  • Willingness to work in environments with varying smoke, temperature, lighting, and noise levels
  • Availability to work indoors and outdoors during special events

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year serving experience in a high-volume restaurant

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate genuine hospitality while greeting and establishing rapport with the guest and delivering an exceptional dining experience
  • Guide guests through menus while demonstrating thorough knowledge of our food and beverages
  • Take accurate orders and partner with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations
  • Communicate any food allergies or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
  • Provide attentive service to diners, refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during the meal
  • Perform some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen, and in the dining area
  • Introduce "breaker" server by name when applicable
  • Pre-bus tables removing all items not necessary for the next course
  • Deliver collect and process all server opened guest checks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Keep table tents and POS materials clean and properly set
  • Address guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests
  • Using the Nugget's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager
  • Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same
  • Regular predictable attendance is required
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
