The role of Valet Attendant at Ojai Valley Inn is integral to ensuring a seamless and positive guest experience. This role involves assisting guests with their vehicles, luggage, and general needs upon arrival and departure, while adhering to the resort’s rigorous standards and regulations. Valet Attendants are responsible for recording and registering all guest vehicles accurately to each room, ensuring that any damages are documented properly on all tickets, and maintaining the utmost care when handling keys and vehicles. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, courteous, and capable of operating professionally under pressure.
In addition to the direct guest services, the Valet Attendant plays a critical role in supporting other hotel functions by assisting where necessary to guarantee optimal service delivery across the property. The job demands excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate oneself and collaborate with hotel teams, and a commitment to maintaining a polished appearance and professional demeanor. Candidates must have a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record and at least one year of prior experience in a similar role at a four or five diamond hotel to meet the high standards expected by the resort.

Job Duties
- Handle incoming and departing guests: greet, park, retrieve cars, and provide luggage assistance, ensuring the security of vehicles in valet
- approach all encounters with guests and employees in a professional, service-oriented manner
- maintain regular attendance in compliance with OVIS standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- maintain high standards of appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag while working
- manage shift checklists and ensure completion with valet team
- perform internal audits on damage checks
- auditing of Forbes standards for department
- maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities, daily arrivals and departures, hotel features, services and amenities, hours of operation for each outlet
- comply at all times with OVI standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- be available to give directions or order transportation for guests
- perform other duties as assigned
