As part of Marriott International, Sheraton extends a supportive and opportunity-rich environment for employees, encouraging career growth and personal development in the hospitality industry.
This Full-Time, Non-Management Maintenance Technician position at Sheraton in Pomona, California, offers a competitive hourly pay of $24.11, reflecting the importance of skilled maintenance in a premium hotel environment. Responsibilities include inspecting and treating mattresses, box springs, bed frames, carpet and upholstery stain removal, dusting, touching up paint and furniture, and ensuring all room accessories and appliances are fully functional. The technician will also perform minor miscellaneous repairs such as adjusting loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in the walls. General cleaning duties include maintaining cleanliness of bathtubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the flexibility for open availability and flexible shifts, adapting seamlessly to the dynamic needs of a hotel environment. Sheraton emphasizes adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, timely reporting of accidents or unsafe conditions, and maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality. The Maintenance Technician is expected to provide superior guest service by anticipating and addressing guest needs while maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with team members to achieve shared goals. Physically, the role requires the ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, dragging, and stooping, as well as lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently. Assisting with heavier objects above this weight is also expected. Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods during the shift is required.
Joining the Sheraton family means becoming part of a worldwide community that values diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunity. Marriott International is committed to providing accessible employment opportunities without discrimination based on disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. The company welcomes applicants with criminal backgrounds in compliance with applicable laws. As a Maintenance Technician at Sheraton Pomona, you will play a key role in ensuring that guests experience a safe, comfortable, and impeccably maintained environment. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a global hospitality brand recognized for its rich history and dedication to its people, guests, and communities. You will not only perform essential maintenance duties but also contribute to the welcoming atmosphere that has made Sheraton a beloved destination for travelers from around the globe.
