As a Housekeeping and Laundry team member at JW Marriott Chicago, you will be responsible for maintaining the impeccable condition and presentation of guest rooms and common areas. Your key duties include inspecting and ensuring guest rooms are cleaned thoroughly according to the hotel's standards. You will complete detailed paperwork and checklists to report on the cleanliness status and condition of assigned rooms and areas. Handling guest requests promptly and efficiently, you will adhere strictly to safety and security protocols, ensuring guest privacy and property are protected. This position also involves assisting management in employee-related tasks such as training, scheduling, and motivating team members, thereby supporting a cohesive and productive work environment.

Physical demands are integral to this role, including the ability to move throughout various hotel environments, handle objects up to 55 pounds with or without assistance, and perform activities involving frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • at least 1 year of relevant work experience
  • no supervisory experience required
  • ability to perform physical activities such as lifting objects up to 55 pounds with assistance
