The role offered is a full-time non-management position within the Housekeeping & Laundry department, located at the JW Marriott property at 1717 Denver West Blvd, Golden, Colorado. The position offers an hourly wage of $23.23 and involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities related to maintaining cleanliness and guest room readiness. The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for accurately reporting the status of cleaned rooms, completing checklists detailing cleanliness and conditions of assigned areas, and fulfilling required paperwork for the department. Accountability includes identifying room assignments and the cleaning tasks needed, inspecting guest rooms post-cleaning, and swiftly addressing requests from guests and other departments. This role requires adherence to company safety policies, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, and supporting fellow employees by upholding a respectful and dignified workplace environment.

Physically, the role demands agility and strength, including the ability to move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 55 pounds unassisted and more with help, as well as performing multiple physical actions such as reaching, bending, climbing stairs, and operating cleaning machinery. The associate must be capable of working in various spatial environments ranging from confined to elevated areas and navigating slippery or uneven surfaces. Communication skills are essential, as the role includes reporting maintenance or safety issues, responding appropriately to colleague concerns, and maintaining professional language with guests and team members.

Job Duties

  • Enter the status of cleaned rooms in assignment sheets
  • complete checklists reporting cleanliness and condition of each assigned area
  • complete required Housekeeping Department paperwork
  • identify room assignments and type of cleaning required
  • inspect guest rooms after cleaning
  • respond promptly to guest and department requests
  • assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and training employees
  • serve as a role model
