Job Description

Gaylord Hotels, a prestigious brand under Marriott International, is renowned for its exceptional contribution to the travel and hospitality industry. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Gaylord Hotels combines outstanding service, immersive guest experiences, and a rich tradition of hospitality that stands out in today’s competitive travel market. As part of the global Marriott portfolio, Gaylord Hotels benefits from robust leadership, innovative programs, and a diverse multicultural workplace that values its employees as much as its guests.

This role centers around delivering an exceptional front desk and guest services experience for visitors at the bustling Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville. The position is full-time, non-management with a consistent hourly wage of $22.00 which reflects the importance the company places on quality and dedication at every level. Employees in this role become an important part of the team known as STARs – individuals committed to offering heartfelt and thoughtful service. Those in this role will be the welcoming face of the hotel, ensuring guests feel at home from the moment they enter.

The responsibilities include managing the guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently while adapting to the dynamic nature of hotel operations, balancing billing accuracy, and resolving any discrepancies promptly. The role also entails providing guests with comprehensive knowledge about the hotel’s facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance their stay. Daily shift reports, cash reconciliations, and communicating important information for smooth shift transitions are key to maintaining operational excellence. Additionally, this position plays a critical role in hotel security and emergency communication protocols, ensuring guest safety is always a top priority.

Working at Gaylord is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to join a family that treasures diversity, teamwork, and personal growth. The company fosters an environment where associates are encouraged to expand their horizons through continuous learning and community involvement. Employees have access to a balanced work-life environment reinforced with leadership that inspires motivation and well-being. Benefits include discounts on hotel rooms, dining options, merchandise, and valuable recognition programs that celebrate employee contributions.

The hotel also champions an inclusive culture where every individual’s unique identity is respected and celebrated, reinforcing Marriott International’s commitment to equal opportunity employment. Employees can expect a welcoming, supportive workplace where they can be themselves and realize their full potential. Joining Gaylord Hotels means joining a world-class hospitality brand dedicated to creating meaningful connections with guests and colleagues alike.

In summary, this job offers a compelling mix of stability, responsibility, and opportunities for growth in a vibrant, collaborative setting. Ideal candidates should enjoy interpersonal communication, have an eye for detail, and a passion for serving a diverse global clientele. Working here means being part of something larger than just a hotel job — it’s about delivering excellence in every guest interaction and fostering a welcoming atmosphere that makes guests’ experiences truly memorable.
