Job Requirements

No high school diploma or general education development certificate required
less than one year of related work experience
no supervisory experience required
no licenses or certifications required
ability to stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods
ability to move items weighing up to 10 pounds
effective verbal and written communication skills
willingness to comply with company policies
dedication to maintaining guest confidentiality
availability to work full time
ability to work in-person at the designated hotel location

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
less than one year of relevant work experience
hotel experience preferred
strong communication skills
ability to work in a team-oriented environment
proficiency with computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
customer service orientation
ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
attention to detail
professional appearance and demeanor

Job Duties

Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible
preregister selected guests and prepare key packets
organize and coordinate check-in and preregistration procedures for arriving groups
review, track and handle room change or early departure requests when possible
communicate status to appropriate staff
confirm reservations and cancellations
inspect out-of-service rooms daily
ensure rate compliance with market standards and document exceptions
verify and adjust guest billing
file guest paperwork and documentation
organize and process all guest check-in and check-out records
activate room keys
obtain valid payments
identify overbooked rooms
check for duplicate reservations and block rooms
prepare daily reports
follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction of their requests or concerns
receive, record, and relay messages accurately and legibly
comply with company policies and procedures
maintain a clean and professional appearance
protect confidential information and company assets
greet and recognize guests according to company standards
anticipate and fulfill guest service needs
thank guests sincerely
assist guests with disabilities
communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues
prepare and review written documents accurately and completely
answer phones using proper protocol
coordinate tasks and work with other departments
act as a departmental role model or mentor
foster positive working relationships and support team goals
adhere to quality and safety standards
stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
use computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems
move and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds
perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
