Their Food Services department prides itself on offering high-quality cuisine that goes beyond traditional expectations of hospital food by incorporating gourmet hand-crafted salads, scratch-made comfort foods, and innovative ethnic and global dishes. Emphasizing freshness and local support, they serve Door County Coffee and source the freshest ingredients from local vendors, ensuring every meal supports both nutrition and community sustainability. Their commitment to culinary excellence is further demonstrated by a High-End Catering Team that delivers service comparable to any five-star establishment, making this a unique and rewarding environment for food service professionals.
The position of Room Service Tray Runner within the WMH (Western Medical Hospital) food services is an on-demand role designed to support the hospital's dynamic food delivery system. This pool or as-needed position is not seasonal and requires the flexibility to work during various shifts scheduled biweekly, with shift start times varying from mid-afternoon to early evening. It is essential to the role that candidates are at least 16 years of age to comply with safety and hospital regulations. The intent behind this role is to provide exemplary customer service by delivering food trays promptly and courteously within the hospital environment. The Tray Runner functions as an important link between the kitchen and the patient, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and hygienically.
The job responsibilities involve communicating effectively and serving customers with friendliness and professionalism, operating cash registers when necessary, performing short order cooking tasks, managing food stocking and rotation to maintain freshness, and upholding all safety and sanitation standards. With duties extending to maintaining clean, orderly workspaces and flexibility across multiple retail operation positions, this job demands adaptability and independence, as well as a dedication to excellence in food safety protocols including adherence to ServSafe and HACCP guidelines. The role includes essential tasks like troubleshooting customer complaints in collaboration with supervisory staff, completing daily food requisitions, and actively maintaining safe conditions in the workspace.
Candidates will find themselves in a community-focused and engaging culture with competitive pay and opportunities for professional growth. Although this position is part-time and does not offer benefits, it provides valuable experience in hospital food service and hospitality, making it ideal for individuals seeking hands-on roles in fast-paced, patient-centered environments. By joining ProHealth Care Food Services as a Room Service Tray Runner, employees become a vital part of a team dedicated to enhancing patient satisfaction through attentive and personalized food delivery, contributing significantly to the overall healing experience.
