The role of Room Service Supervisor at Four Seasons Atlanta involves planning, organizing, controlling, and directing the activities of the Room Service Department while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. Key responsibilities include maintaining visibility in operations, recognizing and motivating staff, handling guest concerns, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of all food and beverage services. The supervisor also manages labor and operating costs through effective scheduling and budgeting, attends operational meetings for seamless interdepartmental coordination, and oversees facility conditions to recommend improvements.

Candidates are expected to have a college degree, preferably in hotel or restaurant management, or related equivalent experience, with one to two years in supervisory roles within Food and Beverage. They should possess thorough knowledge of division operations, Four Seasons' cultural and core standards, food and beverage service, cost and labor control, and maintenance practices. Proficiency in operating food and beverage computer systems, as well as strong communication skills in English, are essential.

Job Requirements

  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel or restaurant management or equivalent experience
  • One to two years previous experience in food and beverage in a line or supervisory role
  • Working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and food and beverage systems
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and oral English

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other food and beverage computer systems
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language

Job Duties

  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control
  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
  • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the In-Room Dining area and make recommendations for corrections and improvements
  • Assist with the service of food to guests
  • Assist with the cleaning of operational areas
