The position of Room Service Server at Renaissance Baton Rouge is a full-time role reporting to the Outlet Manager or Supervisor. This role is essential to maintaining the high level of service that the hotel prides itself on. The Room Service Server is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests by receiving and delivering food and beverage orders and handling payment collection. Candidates must be physically capable of standing for an entire shift and navigating the dining areas while carrying full trays of food and beverages. Key responsibilities include having thorough knowledge of menus and specials, familiarity with the restaurant and lounge operations, and the ability to utilize the point-of-sale (P.O.S.) system effectively. Additionally, the Room Service Server will perform cashiering functions, opening and closing procedures, and other side-work duties as assigned. The role also emphasizes upselling food, beverage, and promotional items to guests to enhance their dining experience and contribute to the hotel's revenue.
