The Room Service Server is responsible for timely and courteous delivery of food and beverage orders to guest rooms, ensuring presentation and quality meet Four Seasons’ premium standards. Tasks include setting up and maintaining room service stations, restocking in-room private bars, and ensuring all deliveries adhere to established quality and timing protocols. The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively is critical for success in this role. Strong communication skills are essential to interact with guests, order takers, and management, as well as to respond promptly to any concerns or changes in guest needs.
Preferred qualifications include prior experience with hotel operating systems such as Opera, Micros POS, or Hotsos, flexible availability across various shifts including overnight, morning, and night, and possessing permits such as Food Handler’s and Mixologist licenses. Job Duties
- Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest's original order, transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
- Greet guests, describe selected items using vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods, communicate options for removal of trays and dishware, respond to requests for tray removal according to established time standards
- Breakdown, clean and set-up room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests, answer calls in absence of order taker or manager
- Check guests in-room private bar daily and restock accordingly, communicate with order taker any special private bar requests or needs, remove private bar contents upon guest request and re-stock when guest departs
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in-room deliveries to ensure orders and requests are delivered in a timely manner, deliver and set up guest amenities
